Election Polls by Strength of States!

Youcalc.com has just made my life a lot easier.

Just like American football and Baseball you almost have to be born in the US to understand their Electoral Voting system. Like, why does it only take 174277 Wyomingans, to make up 1 electoral vote when it takes 664604 Californians to make up the same?

Well, being a big fan of proportional representation, I still don’t get it, but at least I can use a widget from youcalc.com to keep track of how the presidential race is going.

It is all well and good to see that Obama/Biden is leading McCain/Palin 49% to 46%, but all that really matters is how that translates into electoral votes, which right now is Obamas 286 against McCains 225 and 27 tied. But all of us USA Election nerds can go even further with this widget!

We can see just how close each electoral vote is to changing side, and chose another graph to see how the picture has changed in the past. Either week by week, or even day by day.

In a world where there is so much information readily available, forming an opinion really depends on the right tool to condense information down to something more easily digested.
