Barack Obama is too young and too inexperienced to run our country, says John McCain. Yes, he is 25 years his senior, but John McCain is 72. The male life expectancy in the US is 75.15 according to the CIA World Factbook (2007). If this turns out to be true for John McCain, he will die during his first term, and we all know what will happen then. His chosen running mate, Sarah Palin, will become president. But Palin is 28 years younger than McCain, and even more inexperienced than Obama. Has John McCain really thought this through?
The announcement that Palin would be McCain’s running mate caused quite a stir, and boosted McCain in the opinion polls. Sarah Palin has continued to keep herself and the McCain/Palin campaign in the media spotlight ever since, with her firing probe and now her secret lover. No doubt she is a gifted media spinner, but she has served only two years as governor. Obama has almost double that as a senator for Illinois. Surely that counts as more experience?
People in glasshouses should not throw rocks. What if John McCain was to get elected and then die during his time in office, he will leave America in some very inexperienced hands. Hands that may become distracted by lipstick or teenage pregnancies.
