Joe Biden visited Larry King on Monday, and much of the interview he talked about the move into the White House. Biden said that domestically he isn’t worried about the soaring expectations to the president elect, but internationally he is. He told Larry King that he had been contacted by several world leaders who were excited to finally have an American leader who they think has a policy that reflects their own, and who will listen and work with them.

Joe Biden continued to say that Obama and himself needed to make clear cuts from the US policies over the last eight years, and follow through with the promises made during the election; starting with the shut down of Guantanamo Bay.  He said that Obama’s administration are already working on how to do so, but that it will be complicated and take a few months. Another hot topic for Americans is the withdrawal of troops from Iraq. During the campaign Obama promised that within 16 months all troops will be brought back, but Biden told Larry King it probably will take a little bit longer, but in the same ballpark. He said Obama will have the troops out more quickly than Bush’s agreement with the Iraqi government which calls for withdrawal by 2011.
