I am so relived, sanity prevailed in the big USA in spite of all the hate and stupidity we have witnessed during the last many years. Now we can only hope that the trench wars that have been going on for at least 4 years can end.
America could be so great, if only they stopped listening to the scared and the stupid, And ofcource all the people on fox news.

They can talk to the hand, or talk to who or what ever they want to, but nothing any of the worlds political leaders can say will make President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad change. He is still going to be the puppet dangling at the end of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s strings, the Iranian supreme leader, and he isn’t up for election.
However, there is no proof that the election result has been manipulated. And there wont be any proof, since no one has access to the full election results, most likely because the ballots haven’t actually been counted. Talk to the hand, because Iran isn’t listening.
Is Obama’s style of governing ‘hyperactive’? A conservative talk show host in the US claims Obama’s amount of policies is like dousing the American public with petrol and lighting a match. A former adviser to the Bush administration calls the vice president a liar. Apparently there are 17 socialist in the House of Representatives. Isn’t it time the Republicans realized they lost? Promise of hope and change turning ugly.
The current news are all just doom and gloom over the world’s financial crisis. Recession, unemployment, bankruptcies and home repossessions – it is all just a tad too serious. So was the American presidential election, but Sarah Palin made it fun! Not deliberately, of course, but every morning I would wake up and read something said or done that would tickle me, and make my day. Why I miss Sarah Palin.
Spend, spend, spend, says Barack Obama and Gordon Brown. The leaders of the UK and the US wanst the G20 leaders to agree to a $2tn fiscal stimulus package for the failing world economy. Nicolas Sarkozy and Angela Merkel will not agree to this, insisting that tighter financial regulations are needed, not more spending. G20 summit is not off to a good start.
We all love the Daily Show for poking fun at the political scene. Now we also get to love it for being right, and taking the moral high ground. It is about time someone spoke up about the ludicrously of business shows, and how they lack a sense of both good and evil. David vs. Goliath (or Stewart vs. CNBC).
President Barack Obama will today announce the lifting of restrictions on government funding for stem cell research. The restrictions were imposed eight years ago by George W. Bush, saying that such research would cross a ‘moral line’. Another poor Bush decision to be put right.
Gordon Brown met with President Obama today, to discuss the world economic crisis. Mr. Brown’s aides were quick to emphasise that this was a ‘low-key visit’ when it became clear that there would not be any formal press conference to the White House press after the talks. The omitting of this tradition might take away some the importance and significance of being the first European leader to hold talks with the newly elected President. Brown feels snubbed by low-key Obama.
2634 Americans was asked who they admired enough to call a hero. President Obama came out on top, with Jesus in second place. This interactive Harris poll is heavy with politicians, and comes up with quite a spread. Obama in the top spot, Jesus in second and coming up in fifth place is none other than George W. Bush. God doesn’t even make the top ten, but having to make do with an 11th place. I guess action, and lots of it, speaks louder than words. Obama is bigger than Jesus.
Binyamin Netanyahu was yesterday invited by the Israeli president to form a new government, making him the prime minister, once again. This is bad news for the ongoing peace process in the region, as Netanyahu is as set on creating peace between Israel and Palestine as Bush was on signing the Kyoto agreement. In his acceptance speech he did not once mention the stalled peace process or the idea of a two-state solution, but instead he used the opportunity to issue a stark warning to Iran over it’s nuclear advances. A blow for peace in the Middle East.
