Maybe John McCain got it right for once. In picking Sarah Palin as his running mate. She is young, pretty with an adorable family and controversial. Not only is she a woman, but she is a pretty though one, too.

Her excellent speech at the Republican convention threw her into the media spotlight, her remarks about Barack Obama and the now infamous lipstick joke being the high points.

Not to forget the pending firing probe. Firing a public safety commissioner because he refused to sack her sister’s ex-husband. Genius. This one will keep her in the media spotlight for some months to come.

Joe Biden has a sister, but she is probably happily married.

So what has Joe Biden done so far? Nothing. He is, compared to Sarah Palin, rather burning. He hasn’t got any teenage daughters who are pregnant, nor has he made any kind of jokes. It would probably be fair to say that millions of people would not be able to recognize him if they walked past him on the street.

This can lose the election for the democrats. Americans doesn’t vote for people they don’t know; they’ll rather vote for someone they can picture in their minds, even if they don’t like them. Just look at the Bush/Kerry race 4 years ago.
